Goshuin Book Workshop: Kimono Silk × Japanese Washi

Turn Your Journey into a Book

Create a one-of-a-kind Goshuin book using 400-year-old Otake Washi and kimono silk.

In this workshop, you will make a unique Goshuin book using traditional handmade washi paper called Otake Washi, a Japanese paper with over 400 years of history from Otake City in Hiroshima.
The cover will be made from beautiful silk fabric once used in traditional kimono, giving new life to beautiful traditional textiles.
Your finished book can be used to collect Goshuin stamps from shrines and temples during your travels in Japan.
It can also become a personal memory book where you can write about your journey, paste photos, and keep special moments from your time in Japan.
Create a meaningful souvenir that connects your travel memories with Japanese culture.
